The most popular pic of Lake Garda on Instagram? Most likely it was taken from Punta Larici, an incredible lookout point overlooking the western shore of the lake.
The hike to Punta Larici is one of the most beloved of Garda Trentino, especially in the last few years. The view enjoyed from up there is indeed incredible!
Starting from Pregasina, a small village perched on the mountain wall overlooking Lake Garda, Punta Larici can be reached in less than a couple of hours. Punta Larici is a natural balcony above Lake Garda and Limone and offers amazing views in every season and in every moment.
Attention: the trail between Bocca Larici and Punta Larici is exposed!

From the church above the car park in Pregasina, follow the forest road to Malga Palaèr (signposted SAT 422) for about one and half hour and you reach Punta Larici, a splendid panoramic point on Lake Garda. At your feet is Limone, a well-known center of the Brescia side of Lake Garda.
Go back along the same path.
It is possible to get to Punta Larici starting directly from Riva del Garda, along the Ponale road and then continuing towards Pregasina (1.30 h. Ca).
Pregasina is connected to Riva del Garda by the intercity bus line 214 (Riva - Pregasina - Bezzecca - Storo - Pieve di Bono). Unfortunately, bus runs are not frequent.
Pregasina can be reached from Riva del Garda following the signs for Valle di Ledro. After the tunnel, turn left following direction Pregasina.
Free parking near the church in Pregasina.
You need to wear the right clothing and take the proper gear when you go hiking in the mountains. Even on relatively short easy outings make sure to take all you need so you don't run into trouble if things take an unexpected turn, for example a storm blows up or you have a sudden drop in energy levels.
What should you take when you go on a hike?
Your rucksack (for a day trip a 25/30L capacity should do) should contain:
Make sure you're wearing the right footwear for the trail and season. The going can get rough and rocky underfoot and a pair of hiking boots will protect you from sprains. When wet, a grassy slope, rocky slab or steep trail can be dangerous unless you are wearing the proper footwear.
And finally... don't forget to bring your camera! You'll need it to capture the stunning views you come across all over Garda Trentino. And if you like, you can share your memories with us at #GardaTrentino.
